The Constant Tinkers and Rodsmiths
Every member of Echo’s design team brings their own unique experiences and knowledge to the table when we design our products. What they all share in common is a passion and intensity for the sport that drives them to not only get out and enjoy their time on the water, but to perfect that pursuit through both technique and obsessive product design. All of our designers are constant tinkerers, focused on meeting the demands of fish and water.

Jamie Hixson
Jamie has lived and fished all over the USA, but most of that time was spent in the Pacific Northwest, where he honed his love of fishing and the thug life. Growing up on the mean streets of Longview, Washington, taught him a lot about when stocker trout will eat flies and when they’ll eat Poppin’ Fresh dough. With a short stint as a carp fanatic, eventually Jamie went on to be another steelhead junkie, slinging rabbit strips for chrome in lower Columbia tributaries, dodging angry cows near hatchery creeks, and wet wading in the winter cold.

Kelly Galloup
Kelly Galloup is a highly regarded fly fisherman, guide, author, and one of the most influential fly designers in the modern fly fishing era. He is widely known for his expertise in streamer fly fishing and his contributions to the development of modern fly patterns. Galloup’s passion for fly fishing started at a young age, and he soon became fascinated with the intricacies of casting and fly tying. Over the years, he honed his skills, becoming a sought-after guide and instructor, known for his ability to help anglers catch large fish in challenging environments.

Tim Rajeff
Tim Rajeff has lived near the water for as long as he can remember. Like most children, he was fascinated by the natural world, and from an early age, he was introduced to the world of hook and line. His first memories of fishing involve sitting on a dock in the bay with a hand line, a piece of prawn attached, waiting for a passing smelt—or, even better, a rock cod that lived under the piers of San Francisco Bay. Fishing, in its many forms, has occupied a large part of his life. In fact, it could be said that fishing has shaped who he is.
